Our YouTube connector uses YouTube’s targeted queries channel reports. This means that in order to get performance data for a channel’s videos, you need to connect to Youtube using a channel that has uploaded videos.

When connecting a YouTube channel you can choose between seven different report types:

  • Age and Gender

  • Channel Insights

  • Channel Subscribers

  • Device Type and Operating System

  • Time-Based

  • Traffic Sources

  • User Geography

These correspond to YouTube’s own targeted query channel reports, but also contain some additional metadata about the connected channel and its videos. Read more about which metrics and dimensions the reports contain here.

Known limitations for some reports

In the Age and Gender, Traffic Sources and User Geography reports YouTube might limit data for some metrics. This means that the report might not contain all data for a metric if it does not meet a certain threshold.
