This article addresses some considerations for value changes in the built-in Funnel dimension 'Data Source type name' and how that may affect headers in Data Warehouse shares.

All header names within existing Data Warehouse shares are locked, so headers within existing shares will not be affected by the name change, unless header names are edited manually by users.

However, when using the header formats ‘Safe field name’ or Field name with suffix’, headers will be updated with the new naming in the following scenarios:

  • When creating a new Data Warehouse share

  • When adding a new field to an existing share

  • When removing and then re-adding a field to an existing share

As an example, the Header for the Google Ads ‘Cost’ metric would be as follows:

  • Before: “Cost__AdWords

  • After: “Cost__Google_Ads
