Sometimes, the currency for a new connection made in Funnel is displayed as USD despite the actual currency in the source ad account being something else.

This is most likely due to the fact that the default currency for any new connection in Funnel is USD. This is adjusted to the right currency by Funnel as data begins to download upon a successful connection. 

Check if the connection contains data by navigating to the Ad accounts or Google Analytics tabs in the left side menu bar. Find the connection in question and look for a date range clearly visible next to it - this means that data has been downloaded!
