What do I do when Campaign names have changed in my advertising platform?

How Funnel applies the latest seen names to historical data

Updated this week

Funnel now improves data quality by keeping the latest seen names up to date across time, even for older data.

This ensures consistent reporting and analysis, especially when names include encoded meaning (such as product lines, markets, or audiences).

What this means in Funnel

  • Names will stay consistent across time directly in Funnel

  • You’ll also see updated names in most destinations, with the exception of Data warehouse exports

  • Attributes that have been inactive for a long time will not receive updated names

Data Warehouse Exports

For data warehouse exports, updated names in the past are not exported by default, to keep your ingestion costs low.

If you want to include them:

  1. Force a full export to apply all updated names immediately.

  2. Enable a Periodically update all parts to automatically export all updated dimension values.

Read more about this in our When will new data be sent to your Data Warehouse article.
