Some connectors support manager accounts that allow you to manage multiple ad accounts. Examples include:
Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising manager accounts for handling multiple ad accounts
Note: Manager Accounts in Google Ads was previously known as My Client Center (MCC)Facebook Ads business portfolios for managing multiple business assets
Snapchat Ads organizations for managing multiple ad accounts
If you frequently add ad accounts to your manager account, you can enable Auto-connects in Funnel. This feature automatically updates your data sources whenever you add or remove ad accounts in your manager account. With the auto-connect feature, you can avoid duplicated data sources, sync errors, and data gaps.
Funnel checks your connected manager account daily. When it detects a new ad account, it automatically creates a new data source for it. You can also apply filters to include or exclude specific ad accounts during the sync.
Guidelines and requirements
Before you enable Auto-connect for a connector, ensure the following:
The Auto-connect feature is available only in the Enterprise plan.
This feature currently supports the following connectors:
Google Ads
Microsoft Advertising
Snapchat
You must have the required roles and permissions for your manager account.
If you remove an ad account from your manager account or if it becomes inactive, Funnel will pause that data source. However, the historical data for paused data sources remains available.
If a paused data source becomes active again, Funnel resumes the download for the paused data source. A paused data source becomes active when an ad account in the manager account becomes active.
You can set up email notifications to receive alerts when:
New data sources are added
A sync pauses due to inactive or removed ad accounts
There’s a shortage of flexpoints that prevents syncing
If you delete the Auto-connect for a connector, all data sources added during the auto-connect will be removed.
Procedure
Complete the following steps to auto-connect data sources with a manager account. The procedure is applicable for all connectors that support the auto-connect feature.
In Funnel, go to Connect > Data Sources > Auto-connects.
Click → Get Started to proceed.
Select a connector by clicking Create Auto-connect for that connector.
Select your existing credentials, or click + Add Credentials to add new credentials. Click Continue.
Select the template you created for your data sources, and click Continue.
If you haven’t created a template yet, click Create new template to set one up.
Select the manager account you want to connect, and click Continue.
After you select an account, you can see all ad accounts linked to the manager account in the Included section.
(Optional) Define filter to include or exclude ad accounts from your sync, and click Continue.
The ad accounts in the Included and Excluded sections will update accordingly.
Note: This filter applies to all future syncs, and you can edit it later.
(Optional) Set up email notifications by entering your email address.
Funnel notifies you when:
New ad accounts are found in your manager account and are added as data sources
A sync for your manager account pauses due to inactive or removed ad accounts
Funnel cannot proceed with the sync due to shortage of flexpoints
Finalize the setup by entering a name for the Auto-connect setup.
Click Start Auto-connect.
Funnel will create 4 new data sources during the initial sync. You will be redirected to a page where you can view details of this auto-connect.
To view the new data sources, go to Connect > Data Sources. The Connected By column for these data sources will indicate Auto-Connect.
