Ask an AI client connected to Funnel MCP, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor, to create a client portal, choose which dashboards it shares and set up the brand it uses. Your AI client shows you each change and makes it only after you approve it in the conversation.
What you can do
From your AI client, you can:
Create a portal.
Add or remove dashboards in a portal and organize them into groups.
Change a portal's brand or settings.
Delete a portal.
Check who has access to a portal.
List, create, change and delete brands.
Through Funnel MCP, you can't:
Invite or remove portal users. Manage users in Report > Portals.
Upload a brand logo. A new brand has no logo, and changing a brand keeps its current logo. To add a logo, see Create branding for a portal.
For how portals work, see Create a portal.
To do the same tasks in a chat inside Funnel, see Manage client portals in Funnel AI.
Before you begin
You have an AI client connected to Funnel MCP. To connect one, see Quick start guide: Using Funnel MCP.
You have access to the workspace. This is enough to see its portals, their dashboards and who has access to them.
To create, change or delete a portal, you have permission to edit portals in the workspace. If you don't, Funnel MCP tells you to ask a subscription owner for it.
To list brands, you have access to the workspace's subscription. To create, change or delete a brand, you're a member of the workspace's subscription.
The dashboards you want to share already exist in the workspace.
Create a portal
In your AI client, ask for a new portal and give it a name and a brand. For example:
Create a client portal called Acme in the Acme workspace, using the Acme brand.
Note: To use a brand that doesn't exist yet, create the brand first. See Manage brands in this article.
Review the portal that your AI client prepares. Nothing changes in Funnel yet.
Approve the portal in the conversation within 30 minutes. Funnel creates the portal without dashboards. By default, the portal uses the workspace currency.
Ask your AI client to add dashboards to the portal. For example:
Add the Weekly performance and Paid social dashboards to the Acme portal. To see which dashboards you can add, askWhich dashboards are in this workspace?
Review the change and approve it in the conversation within 30 minutes.
Your AI client might also ask for its own approval before it runs a tool. If a change expires, ask your AI client to prepare it again.
Change a portal
In your AI client, ask for the change and name the portal. For example:
Group the dashboards in the Acme portal into Paid media and Organic.
Review the change that your AI client prepares.
Approve the change in the conversation within 30 minutes.
Change | What happens |
Add or remove dashboards | The portal shares the dashboards you approved. |
Organize dashboards into groups | The portal shows its dashboards in the groups you approved. |
Change the brand or settings | The portal uses the new brand or settings. |
Delete the portal | The portal is deleted permanently. The dashboards in it are kept in the workspace. |
Check who has access to a portal
Ask your AI client who can see a portal. For example: Who has access to the Acme portal? Your AI client lists the portal's users. Nothing changes, so there's nothing to approve.
To invite or remove portal users, go to Report > Portals.
Manage brands
A brand sets the look of the portals that use it, such as their colors and logo. Brands belong to the workspace's subscription.
In your AI client, ask to create, change or delete a brand. For example:
Create a brand called Acme in dark blue and white.
Review the change that your AI client prepares.
Approve the change in the conversation within 30 minutes.
Change | What happens |
Create a brand | The brand gets the name and colors you chose. It has no logo. |
Change a brand | The change applies to every portal that uses the brand across the subscription. The brand keeps its current logo. |
Delete a brand | The brand is deleted. This can't be undone. Portals that use the brand go back to the default branding. |
To see the brands you can use, ask Which brands do we have? Listing brands doesn't change anything, so there's nothing to approve.

Your AI client selects these tools for you. You don't need to name them.
