In order to connect a new Pardot data source you will need your Business Unit-ID.
Your business unit ID begins with "0Uv" and is 18 characters long. For more information please refer to this link.
Additionally, you need read access to the object you want to retrieve.
For connecting a Prospect report you also need "Configure Fields" permission. This is for us to be able to retrieve custom fields.

Sign-in succeeds, but connecting fails when Pardot data is fetched
What you see: The Salesforce sign-in step shows a green check, but the connection then fails with an error when Funnel tries to fetch your Pardot data.
Why it happens: Since 28 August 2025, Salesforce requires an org admin to pre-approve connected apps before other users can authorize them. Without that approval, the sign-in still succeeds, but Salesforce blocks Funnel's requests for Pardot data.
What to do: Ask your Salesforce admin to approve Funnel under Setup > Connected Apps > Manage Connected Apps. Then connect the data source again.
Users who sign in to Salesforce with single sign-on (SSO) only can connect Pardot as usual.
