Facebook Ads and Facebook Pages (by Meta) allow you to create campaigns and posts respectively. Campaigns are always paid ads, while posts can be either boosted (paid) or organic (not paid). Any paid activity is done in Ads Manager. Organic activity is done in the regular Facebook account.

A post is boosted for a certain period of time. The "boosting" can be turned off or on.

Note:

More than one Ads Manager accounts can have access to one organic FB Page. If that is the case, the metric in each Ad Manager will only include the data from the boost that was paid for in that specific Ad Manager account. The “Paid” metric from FB Pages will show the aggregate of all boost data across all ads manager accounts.

  • Facebook Ads Reach - reach for campaigns and boosted reach from a post

  • Facebook Pages Post Organic Reach - organic reach from posts

  • Facebook Pages Post Paid Reach - boosted reach from posts

  • Facebook Pages Post Total Reach - total reach for a post, organic and boosted

  • Facebook Pages Total Reach - reach for all organic and boosted interaction with your entire page such as with posts, stories, check-ins, ads, social information from people who interact with your Page, and more

  • Facebook Pages Organic Impressions of your Posts - organic impressions from posts, aggregated to a page level | Note that a date will show impressions that happened on that day
