How to Get Your Data from Azure Blob Storage into Funnel

If your data is stored in Azure Blob Storage, you can easily import it into Funnel using a Custom Connector. Follow the steps below to ensure your data is properly organized and securely shared.

Updated this week

If your use case requires this data in Funnel, you can request it as a Custom Connector.

Custom Connectors and the Custom Connector Request feature are available in the following plans: Business and Enterprise. See our Pricing page for more details.

đŸȘŁ Step 1: Prepare Your Data in Azure

Before submitting a request to Funnel, make sure your data is ready and structured correctly.

  1. Organize the data in Azure Blob Storage into reports.

  2. Ensure each report is in the exact format you want it sent to Funnel.

  3. Confirm the data structure matches the final schema you want in Funnel.

Each report will be it's own Funnel Data source.

📬 Step 2: Submit a Request for Azure Blob Storage

To connect Azure Blob Storage, you’ll need to submit a Custom Connector Request.

  1. Submit a Custom Connector Request (How do I request new data in Funnel?)

  2. When prompted to select a connector:

    • Enable Show custom connectors

    • Select the Azure Blob Storage (Custom) tile

Selecting this tile will automatically send your request to our team.

🔐 Step 3: Provide Authentication Details Securely

You’ll need to securely provide your Azure credentials.

You can do this in two ways:

  • During the request submission flow, when prompted
    or

  • After submission, via the Custom Connector Request Status page
