Problem summary
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) can hide data from Funnel when privacy thresholds apply to demographic, interest or Google-signals data.
Error message or symptoms
The GA4 user interface shows a data threshold warning.
Demographic or interest values are missing or lower than expected in Funnel.
A request with Date contains less data than a request without Date.
When does this occur
The request includes demographics, interests or other Google signals.
A small number of users match a row.
Funnel requests daily rows with the Date dimension.
Root cause
GA4 applies data thresholds to prevent reports from identifying individual users. These thresholds also affect the Analytics Data API. Daily rows can contain fewer users than aggregated rows, so they can trigger thresholds more often.
Solution
Confirm that the GA4 user interface shows a threshold warning for the same fields and date range.
Remove Date if you do not need daily values.
Remove demographic, interest or Google-signals dimensions that you do not need.
Remove other dimensions that divide the data into rows with small user counts.
Import the data again, and compare the result with GA4.
You cannot disable GA4 data thresholds.
