Request new data in Funnel

Learn where to open the data request form, which request type to choose, and how to complete your submission.

Where to start a data request

Minimum required subscription plan

Data > Connect > Data sources (Create a data request), or Data > Connect > Data requests

Business or Enterprise plan

Use a data request when you need a new platform in Funnel, more fields on data sources you already use, or additional fields on a connector in Funnel's library. You submit one request per connector. For an overview of request types and how Funnel reviews submissions, see About data requests.

Note: Data requests are available on Business and Enterprise plans. See the Pricing page for plan details.

Open the data request form

You can start a data request from either place:

From the Connect data source page

  1. Go to Data > Connect > Data sources.

  2. Select + Connect data source.

  3. Browse the connector cards:

    • Connect now: connect with the fields Funnel already includes for that platform.

    • Request connector: open the data request flow for that platform (for example another account or additional fields Funnel can add).

  4. For any other need, scroll to Want a new platform or more fields? and select Create a data request.

From the Data requests page

  1. Go to Data > Connect > Data requests.

  2. If this is your first request in the workspace, select + Submit your first request.

  3. Otherwise, select + New Data Request.

Any open or past requests appear on this page. To check status after you submit, see Tracking a data request.

Choose a request type

In the Select request type step, select the option that matches your goal, then select Continue. You can submit only one connector per request.

Your goal

Request type to select

Add or change fields, formats, or setup on data sources you already use

Modify your existing data sources

Connect another source, or additional fields on a platform in the library (tile shows Request connector)

Request new data source

Connect a platform that is not in Funnel's connector library

Request new connector

Select Show details on a card in the form to read more about each type. The sidebar shows How to select your request type with tips and links to additional guidance.

Modify your existing data sources

Use this when you need more dimensions, metrics, or other changes on a connector you already use in Funnel.

Typical examples:

  • Add, remove, rename, or remap fields.

  • Update report format or structure.

  • Other changes to how a data source is configured.

If the data sources you need are not listed or are in another workspace, paste their links in the form (comma-separated) when prompted.

Request new data source

Use this when the platform is already available in Funnel but you need additional fields on a connector Funnel already supports.

On the Connect data source page, find the platform tile and select Request connector. The data request form opens with that connector pre-selected. Tiles that show Connect now start a standard connection instead of a data request.

Request new connector

Use this when the platform is not in Funnel's connector library. Funnel reviews whether the platform can be supported and may build a connector for you.

Before you submit, gather sample reports, access details, and platform documentation. See How to prepare for a data request.

Complete the form

After you select a request type, complete these steps:

  1. Describe your request: Explain the data you need and how you plan to use it. Upload an example report or screenshot where helpful.

  2. Provide access credentials: Enter credentials for the platform if you have them. If you are unsure what is required, you can continue and add credentials later.

  3. Review and submit: Confirm the summary and select Submit.

In Describe your request, confirm that usernames or passwords are not included in free-text fields when the form asks you to. Credential fields are separate.

Provide an email address for updates about your request. After you submit, you see a confirmation.
