Attribution is increasingly important for mobile app marketing, as it is for web marketing. Mobile app attribution is relevant for anyone who runs an app and promotes it with a marketing budget.

Mobile app attribution assigns conversion events to the advertising measures responsible for them. The goal is to find how much incremental share each touchpoint contributes to specific events, such as app installations or transactions. Mobile marketers gain precise insights into which mobile ads pay off and which do not.

How does Adtriba measure traffic within a mobile app?

Tracking within an app is very different from tracking on a website. Apps require a Software Development Kit (SDK) to capture traffic. SDK development is complex and specific, so Adtriba does not provide its own SDK. To include mobile app touchpoints in Adtriba's MTA, we partner with popular app tracking solutions such as Adjust and AppsFlyer. By importing touchpoint information from these partners, Adtriba gets the data needed to run MTA on your marketing touchpoints.

How do you integrate your app solution with Adtriba?

How does Adtriba include app traffic in attribution?

Mobile app campaign information is normally included in Adtriba Multi-Touch Attribution and shown as a separate channel in all reports. Mobile app installs use a separate conversion event and attribution model, which you can select separately in performance reporting.

What should you consider for mobile app integration?

Merging web and app customer journeys requires additional setup. Adtriba cannot set or read a cookie from your app users, so it does not have enough information to match an app user with a web user. You can still match users by transmitting a hashed user ID on all platforms.
