Workspace instructions let you customize how Data Chat responds to questions. After you add a workspace instruction, Data Chat uses these instructions whenever you ask a question. These instructions are set globally across your workspace and apply to all users.
Workspace instructions take priority over instructions you give in the conversational interface and are immediately applied to all chats. When you create an instruction, you can see when it was last edited and by whom.
Guidelines and requirements
Since these instructions are set workspace-wide and apply to all users, assign the editor role to one user who has a holistic perspective of your business context.
When creating instructions, identify contexts that apply to all users in your workspace.
You can specify different business contexts as different workspace instructions. For example, create one instruction to define what metrics you want to see as part of performance evaluation, and another to define your organization's terminology.
Avoid creating conflicting instructions.
You can delete or edit an instruction, but you cannot restore it or its previous version.
You need access to your Funnel workspace with Data Chat enabled in it.
Procedure
Follow these steps to manage workspace instructions. The workflow guides you through adding, editing, and deleting instructions.
Add a workspace instruction
Complete the following steps to create a workspace instruction.
In your Funnel workspace, go to Data Chat from the left navigation menu.
Select the Customization submenu from the sidebar.
Click + Add instruction.
(Optional) Enter a suitable title.
Enter the workspace instruction, and click Save.
Note: The instruction applies to all users in this workspace.
Edit a workspace instruction
Complete the following steps to edit an instruction.
Select the Customization submenu from the Data Chat sidebar.
You can see all the workspace instructions.Click the More options menu and select Edit.
Make changes to the instruction and click Save.
Note: You can’t restore the previous version of an instruction.
Delete a workspace instruction
Complete the following steps to delete an instruction.
Select the Customization submenu from the Data Chat sidebar.
You can see all the workspace instructions.Click the More options menu and select Delete.
Click Delete to confirm.
Note: You can’t restore the instruction after you delete it.
