Some Creatives in Funnel are missing one or more dimensions, such as Creative name, in Data Explorer while metrics for the same Creative are present.

When does this occur

Root cause

Funnel retrieves Creative metrics and dimensions separately because of how LinkedIn structures its API. If dimension retrieval fails, metrics can still download while dimensions stay empty.

Confirmed causes include:

The Creative is not a Single Image or Single Job type and was created by sponsoring an organic post. The LinkedIn API does not provide Creative name for these types.
The Creative has a malformed Destination URL or Click URL, which can cause API errors until the URL is corrected.
The Creative was rejected in LinkedIn's ad review process.
A temporary LinkedIn API error prevented dimension retrieval for some or all Creatives.

Solution

In LinkedIn Campaign Manager, open the Creative and check its type, URLs and review status.
If the Creative was built from a sponsored organic post and is not Single Image or Single Job, expect Creative name to be unavailable in Funnel until LinkedIn extends API support.
Fix malformed Destination URL or Click URL values and save the Creative.
Resolve rejected Creatives in LinkedIn before you expect full dimensions in Funnel.
After a temporary API issue, wait for the next successful data source download or reconnect the source if errors persist.
