Missing column headers in Google Sheets

Restore a renamed or removed Google Sheets header so Funnel can identify the configured column.

Problem summary

Funnel cannot import a configured column if you rename or remove its header from the Google Sheet.

Error message or symptoms

The column header 'Impressions' could not be found in the sheet. Has it been renamed or removed?

The error message shows the missing header name.

When does this occur

  • You rename a column header after you configure the data source.

  • You remove a configured column or its header from the sheet.

Root cause

Funnel uses the header text to identify each configured column. Funnel cannot find the column if you change or remove that text.

Solution

  1. Restore the original header exactly as it appeared when you configured the data source.

  2. Retry the import.

  3. If you cannot restore the header or cannot edit the configuration, contact Funnel Support to reconfigure the data source.
