TikTok source disconnected after connecting a new account

Restore a TikTok data source that stopped working after you connected another TikTok account in Funnel.

A TikTok data source that previously worked in Funnel shows as disconnected after you connect a new TikTok account. You can restore access by including every ad account you still need in TikTok's authorization dialog.

Error message or symptoms

The data source status shows as disconnected or stops downloading. There may be no error in the UI until you open the source details or check download history.

When does this occur

  • You connect a new TikTok Ads data source while an existing TikTok source is already connected

  • You deselect one or more ad accounts in TikTok's authentication window during the new connection

Root cause

TikTok issues one access token per user and app. When you authorize Funnel again, TikTok replaces the previous token. If you uncheck an ad account that an existing data source relied on, that source loses access.

Solution

  1. In Funnel, open the disconnected TikTok data source and reconnect it, or add a new TikTok Ads data source.

  2. When TikTok's authentication dialog opens, select every ad account you want Funnel to access — including accounts used by your existing sources.

  3. Complete authorization and confirm downloads resume for all affected sources.
