Schedule tasks

Run a Funnel AI prompt on a repeating schedule and send the result by email, in Slack or to the chat.

Schedule a Funnel AI prompt when you want the same question to run on a schedule. Each run is saved in the task's run history. You can also send the result by email, in Slack or both.

Before you begin

  • You have access to a Funnel workspace. Scheduled tasks are available on all plans.

  • Ensure to have permissions to edit the workspace. Contact your workspace admin for access.

  • To send results to Slack, install Funnel AI in Slack and connect your account. See Integrate Funnel AI with Slack.

  • If you have not used Funnel AI yet, see Getting started with Funnel AI.

Schedule a task with Funnel AI

  1. Click Funnel AI in the left navigation pane and select Scheduled tasks.

  2. Click Schedule task with Funnel AI. Funnel AI opens a chat with a prompt. Edit the prompt, if needed, and describe the task.

  3. Review the task card. It shows the name, prompt, schedule, timezone and notification.

  4. (Optional) Edit the details if needed. In the form, click Save changes.

  5. Click Confirm or Confirm and always allow.

Note: Click Cancel to discard the task. Confirm and always allow creates this task and lets Funnel AI create tasks in the future without asking you. You can change this under AI > Tool permissions.

Schedule a task manually

  1. Click Funnel AI in the left navigation pane and select Scheduled tasks.

  2. Click Schedule task manually.

  3. Enter a Name and a Prompt.

  4. Select a Frequency: Hourly, Daily, Weekdays, Weekly or Custom (cron). For daily, weekdays or weekly, set the time. For weekly, also set the day. Enter the Timezone.

  5. Under Send the result to, select Email, Slack or both.

Note: Clear both options to keep the result in the chat only. Only the task owner can change notifications. Slack appears after you connect Funnel AI in Slack.

  • If you select Email, Funnel sends the result to the address you use to sign in. Under Email recipients, add up to 49 other Funnel workspace members. The task owner also receives the email.

  • If you select Slack, under Slack destination choose Direct message to me or A channel. Select a channel from the list or click Enter a channel ID or link. If you don't see the channel, send /invite @Funnel AI in that Slack channel. Anyone in the channel can see the result. If the channel list does not load, paste a channel ID or link.

6. Click Create.

What to expect

The task appears on the Scheduled tasks page and runs on the schedule you set. Each result is saved to a chat you can open from the run history.

Manage a scheduled task

  1. Click Funnel AI in the left navigation pane and select Scheduled tasks.

  2. On the task, click More actions and select Run history, Run now, Pause, Edit or Delete.

Note: Pause stops future runs. Existing results stay in the run history. Run now runs the prompt once without waiting for the next scheduled time.
