Use this cheatsheet to see which actions you can perform in Funnel AI, the AI chat in your Funnel workspace, and in Funnel MCP, which connects AI clients such as Claude and ChatGPT to Funnel.
Read and write actions
Read actions look up your data, definitions and settings. They don't change anything in Funnel.
Write actions change your workspace, for example by creating an export or renaming a data source.
Funnel asks before it makes a write action:
In Funnel AI, you approve each change on a card in the chat. You can set some actions to Always allow in AI > Tool permissions. For more, see Manage tool permissions in Funnel AI.
In Funnel MCP, your AI client shows you the change and you approve it in the conversation. Your AI client might also ask for its own approval.
In both, you can only do what your Funnel role allows.
