When errors occur in Funnels Data Studio integration we do our best to output informative and helpful messages. However, some errors happens within Data Studio and are out of our control and we can't affect how these errors are outputted to the user.
This article is aimed to list such errors and to help interpreting what they mean and also to suggest actions on how to solve them.
Google quota limits
The Google quota limits number of operations made by a Google user per day. This means that if one user is using multiple community connectors the quota limit will be hit faster. It should also be stated that other Google services (such as Google Sheet, Google Calendar etc.) will affect the quota as well. Please read more about Quotas for Google Services here.
Quota Error messages
"Service invoked too many times in a short time: exec qps"
According to Googles documentation this error "indicates that the script called the given service too many times in a short period". This particular error message is likely populated from Google Sheet to Data studio and is due to over-usage of custom functions. If a Data Studio report depends on data sets from large Google Sheets documents with custom formulas, that is likely the source of the error.
Reduce the number of Google sheets connected to the same Google user.
Stop using a shared Google accounts.
Reduce the number of custom formulas in the connected Google sheets.
"Service invoked too many times for one day: urlfetch"
According to Google documentation this error "indicates that the script called the given service too many times in a short period". In this the case the error means that the Google user account is accounted for more than 20 000 data requests/day.
URL Fetch calls are made by many Google services and each request will use up the quota. If you are seeing this error in Data Studio it means that the Google account is being overused, but it is not certain that it is the Data Studio service that drains the quota.
