Overview
Use Workspace Notifications to receive automated notifications when something goes wrong with your data pipeline. Consolidating all notifications in one place, you decide who gets notified and gives your team a single control centre for data health.
Workspace Notifications alert you of any relevant errors directly to your inbox (or Slack) so you can react quickly and maintain trustworthy reporting.
Notification types
Type | Trigger condition | Typical action |
Data Source errors
| A connector cannot fetch data, credentials expire, or the API returns an error. | Re‑authorize the source, update credentials, or contact the platform owner. (double check) |
Export errors
| A scheduled export to a destination (e.g. BigQuery, S3, Google Sheets) fails or is cancelled. | Retry export, check authentication, review Run details. |
More notification categories will be added soon.
Benefits of using notifications
Protect data quality – Spot problems before they reach downstream dashboards.
Reduce manual checks – No need to open each data source daily.
Central control – Manage all alerting notifications from a single page: connectors and exports in the workspace.

FAQ
Why did Funnel replace the old Data Source Notifications page?
We wanted a single, workspace‑level hub where you can see all potential issues—data‑source errors and export failures—in one place. This consolidation reduces setup time, prevents blind‑spots, and lays the groundwork for future alerts
Where do I manage the new notifications?
In your Funnel workspace, click Workspace settings (bottom‑left) → Notifications. The page lists every existing rule and lets you create, edit, or delete them.
What happened to my old Data Source notification rules?
All existing rules were migrated automatically. They now appear in the Notifications page with the same recipients, schedule, and "all‑clear" settings. You don’t need to re‑create them, but you can edit or disable them at any time.
Will enabling notifications flood my inbox?
No. You control the frequency and can disable "all‑clear" messages to minimise email volume.
What happens if the same export fails multiple times?
You’ll receive one alert per failure cycle at the cadence you selected.
