Problem summary
When you connect an Adobe Analytics 2.0 data source, segments, calculated metrics or dynamic dimensions you use in Adobe Analytics may not appear in Funnel.
Error message or symptoms
Segments, calculated metrics or dynamic dimensions you created in Adobe Analytics are missing from the connection screen in Funnel.
Custom segments and calculated metrics shared only with your personal Adobe login do not appear as options.
When does this occur
You connect Adobe Analytics 2.0 with OAuth Server-to-Server credentials.
The segment or calculated metric is not shared with the credential technical account.
The segment or calculated metric is not shared with the entire organization or everyone in the report suite.
Root cause
Funnel uses OAuth Server-to-Server credentials to access Adobe Analytics on your behalf. Adobe only exposes segments and calculated metrics that are shared with the credential technical account, the entire organization or everyone in the report suite.
Solution
Find the technical account email for your OAuth Server-to-Server credential. In Funnel, the credential name is the first part of the technical account email. If you do not have access to it, ask your Adobe admin to find it in the Adobe Analytics connection guide.
In Adobe Analytics, share the missing segments or calculated metrics with that technical account. To find the credential user in the Adobe UI, search using the beginning of the technical account email or replace the
@symbol with a space. For example, if the technical account email is53c78fcc-411e-4e79-9517-68c6dd221c74@techacct.adobe.com, search for53c78fcc-411e-4e79-9517-68c6dd221c74or53c78fcc-411e-4e79-9517-68c6dd221c74 techacct.adobe.com.
Share segments following Adobe's segment sharing guide.
Share calculated metrics following Adobe's calculated metrics sharing guide.
Reconnect or reconfigure the data source in Funnel to refresh the available fields.
