Funnels TikTok Organic connector works by downloading a snapshot of your data multiple times per day. Once a particular date has passed, Funnel can no longer access what your data would have looked like on that date. This has several consequences:
We cannot download historical data
There might be gaps in the data if there are issues with downloading
The following are some issues that we've seen before or that can come up when using the connector.
Missing data after a reconnect
If you have reconnected a TikTok Organic source that used to have a credential issue, you might have a gap in your data. This is due to the fact that Funnel cannot download data while your source has the credential issue. If the issue is present for more than a day, data will be missing for that date.
Data attributed to the wrong date
Some metrics are available with a 24-48 hour delay from the TikTok API. Hence, date is set two days back to avoid fetching empty data sets.
Missing data from Country and Country Code
The dimensions Country and Country Code are based on the top 10 countries of origin of the total followers of the TikTok Business account. The remaining followers are categorised as originated from "Other" countries.
Video Insights report not being up to date
For Video Insights report data sources, data is attributed to the date the video was created. This can make it appear as if your source hasn't downloaded the latest data and isn't up to date.
Metrics being off for Video Insights Daily Activity report
The metrics in this report are calculated based on stored data between two adjacent days with successful downloads. This can result in small mismatches, but when a source has had issues downloading, such as when there is a credential issue, the mismatches can be quite large. There is currently not anything we can do about that.
