Meta: Upcoming removal of DMA Region in Facebook Ads (22 June, 2026)

From 22 June, 2026, Meta removed Nielsen Designated Market Area (DMA) from all Meta targeting and reporting and will use Comscore Markets for the affected regional coverage in the platform. After that date, Facebook Ads data sources in Funnel that still use the DMA Region breakdown will get an error. And a new source with Comscore Market breakdown needs to be connected.

We have added a new Comscore Markets breakdown to the Facebook Ads connector.

Migration steps

This is not a simple field rename. Historical rows broken down by DMA Region and new rows broken down by Comscore Markets will not be directly comparable in the same reporting logic without a documented cutover.

  • If you need to keep historical DMA Region data in Funnel, we recommend that you pause your DMA sources, not delete the source.

  • To get the Comscore Market, add a new Facebook Ads data source with Comscore Markets optional breakdown.

How to find affected data sources

If you have only one Funnel workspace, go to Data > Data Sources, then enter DMA in the search bar.

If you have multiple workspaces, complete the following steps to locate data sources with DMA Region:

  1. Click your profile settings in the top-right corner and select Subscription overview.

  2. From the left navigation pane, click Data Sources and search for DMA in the search bar.

  3. Click the Data Source Name hyperlink to open the workspace where the source is located.

Note: Subscription overview only shows data sources in workspaces you can access. It may not show every affected Facebook Ads source in your organization. A Facebook Ads source is affected if its configuration summary includes DMA Region.
