Get Started with Creative Exports

Overview

Creative Exports allow you to deliver creative assets and metadata from your advertising platforms to an object storage destination for downstream workflows, analytics, or long-term storage.

Before you can create a Creative Export, you must configure your connector to collect creative data. The required connector configuration is the same as the configuration used for Creative Reporting.

This guide provides an overview of the setup process. For detailed instructions on configuring your export destination, authentication, and export options, see Export to a Data Warehouse or File Storage.

Before You Begin

Before creating a Creative Export, make sure that:

  • You have an existing connector for the advertising platform.

  • Your connector is configured for creative reporting using the appropriate platform-specific settings.

  • You have permission to create exports.

  • You have access to one of the supported object storage destinations:

    • Amazon S3

    • Google Cloud Storage

    • Azure Blob Storage

Configure Your Connector

Use the appropriate platform guide to configure your connector before creating an export.

Create a Creative Export

Once your connector is configured:

  1. Go to Exports.

  2. Select Create Export.

  3. Select your object storage destination:

    • Amazon S3

    • Google Cloud Storage

    • Azure Blob Storage

  4. Configure the export.

  5. Save the export.

  6. Run the export or wait for the first scheduled execution.

For detailed guidance on connecting your storage destination, authentication requirements, scheduling, formatting, and export configuration, refer to Export to a Data Warehouse or File Storage.

Verify Your Export

After the export completes successfully:

  • Verify that files have been delivered to your object storage destination.

  • Confirm that your creative assets and metadata are present.

  • If expected data is missing, verify that your connector is configured according to the appropriate platform-specific guide.

Troubleshooting

If your Creative Export does not contain creative data:

  • Verify that your connector is configured for creative reporting.

  • Confirm that the required report type, reporting level, feature toggle, or metadata option is enabled for your advertising platform.

  • Allow the connector to refresh after making configuration changes before running the export again.

  • Review the Data Warehouse and File Storage export documentation for destination-specific configuration and authentication requirements.
