Who is Auto-connect useful for?

If you work at an organization where ad accounts are frequently added to a Manager Account (MCC) and should appear in Funnel, this feature is for you. Auto-connect will minimize room for errors such as duplicated Data Sources and a lack of data.

How does it work?

Once every two hours, Funnel checks for new ad accounts in your connected Manager Account (MCC). When a new ad account is detected, Funnel automatically creates new Data Sources for each new ad account. You must also select a Data Source Template in the setup to configure the automatically added Data Sources.

โ€‹When an ad account has been inactivated/removed from the Google Ads Manager Account, Funnel will pause the corresponding Data Source in Funnel. Donโ€™t worry, the historical data will remain in Funnel! If the automation detects the ad accounts in the Manager Account once again, the Data Source will resume to download data.
โ€‹

Optional: Add your email to receive updates when new Data Sources have been added/paused.

Can I exclude certain ad accounts from the automation?

Yes, you can set up rules to exclude or include ad accounts based on their names. These rules will apply to the initial and coming syncs. You can edit the rules anytime, and they will apply to the coming syncs.

Will inactive accounts be connected?

No, Funnel only imports accounts with the status 'Active' in Google Ads. If an account changes status from inactive to active and is eligible to be connected (not filtered out), it will be connected automatically in the next Auto-connect sync.

What happens if I delete an Auto-connect?

All Data Sources added due to an Auto-connect will also be removed.
