Technical reference: <reference-id> getConfig 403

When does this occur

  • You connect or reconnect a Funnel data source in Google Data Studio.

  • The user who authenticates the connector cannot access the selected Funnel workspace or data share.

  • The Google account selected in Google Data Studio uses a different email address from the Funnel account.

Root cause

Google Data Studio authenticates the Funnel connector with a user who cannot access the selected workspace or data share. This can also happen when the Google account email does not match the Funnel account email.

Solution

  1. Confirm that your Funnel user can access the workspace that contains the data share.

  2. Ask a workspace administrator to confirm that your user has permission to use the data share.

  3. Confirm that you can edit the data source in Google Data Studio.

  4. When you select Continue with Google, choose a Google account whose email address belongs to a user in the Funnel workspace.
